Poonch : On the directions of the Deputy Commissioner, InderJeet, a team of Geology and Mining and Police departments Thursday laid nakas at various locations to crack a whip on perpetrators of illegal mining.
District Mining Officer, Javid Iqbal and a team of police department led by SSP Poonch, RohitBaskotraseized 6 vehiclesat different places in the district.
The vehicles seized included 1JCB at Surankote, 1tipper at Mandi, 2 tractors at Khari and 2 Dumpers at Surankote and Kalai.
District Mining Officer, Javid Iqbal said that the team will continue to take all necessary steps to stop the illegal mining in the district.
