Live: Eid 2022- Shawwal moon not sighted in India, Pakistan and Bangladesh

08-05 pm: There is no report of moon sighting so far from any part of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Accordingly, Monday May 02, 2022 will be 30th Ramadan 1443H and Tuesday May 03, 2022 will be the first day of Eid al Fitr in the three countries.

Bangladesh has already declared it officially whereas official announcement by Markazi Ruyate Hilal Committee New Delhi and Pakistan is expected soon.

08-05 pm: Sky is clear and so far there is no news of moon sighting from any places of Pakistan.
An official announcement regarding the Eid al Fitr 2022 is expected any moment.

07-50 pm: There is no report of moon sighting so far from any part of India. Accordingly, Monday May 02, 2022 will be 30th Ramadan 1443H and Tuesday May 03, 2022 will be the first day of Eid al Fitr in India.

Various regional Hilal Committees in India have already declared Tuesday May 03, 2022 as the first day of Eid.

07-30 pm: The Moon Sighting and Hilal Committees in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and United Kingdom (UK) will meet today i.e. Sunday May 01, 2022 after Salat al Maghreb to confirm the sighting of the New Moon of the month of Shawwal 1443H.

07-20 pm: The new moon of the month of Shawwal is not sighted in Bangladesh Sunday 29th of Ramadan 1443 AH corresponding to May 01, 2022.

Accordingly, Monday May 02, 2022 will be 30th Ramadan and Eid al Fitr will be celebrated on Tuesday May 03, 2022, the National Moon Sighting Committee of Bangladesh said after its meeting held today at Baitul Mukarram office in Dhaka.

The meeting was presided over by State Minister for Religious Affairs Mohammad Faridul Haque Khan.

06-50 pm: Meanwhile, Afghanistan celebrated Eid al Fitr today i.e. Sunday May 01, 2022. On the other hand, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar and other Arab States will celebrated the largest festival of Muslims that marks the end of Ramadan on Monday May 02, 2022.
