Animal Husbandry B’pora celebrates World Veterinary Day

Bandipora : The Department of Animal Husbandry Bandipora on Saturday celebrated World Veterinary Day at Veterinary Complex, Bandipora.
The event was attended by CAHO Bandipora, Dr G A Lone, DSHO Bandipora, Dr Showkat, BVO Bandipora, Dr M RamzanChopan, SMS KVK Bandipora, Dr Nazir Ahmad, Technical officer (TO) to CAHO, Dr Waseem, all VASs and Paravets of the district besides farmers, animal rights activists and Pharma Representatives.
Dr G A Lone kick-started the event with the Deworming of the calves.
Addressing the gathering, Dr G A Lone gave a detailed lecture on the theme- Strengthening the Veterinary Resilience, status of Animal Husbandry Bandipora with respect to milk and poultry productions and overall achievements and milestones achieved by the department during the last financial year.
Later, DSHO Bandipora, Dr Showkat briefed the gathering about the importance of the world Veterinary Day. Dr Ramzan, Dr Nazir, Dr Waseem shared their field experiences with the audience.
The event concluded with the distribution of Appreciation certificates and mementosto the Best Field Vet and Paravet of the District.
