Kupwara : The Deputy Commissioner, Kupwara, Imam Din Tuesday visited the homesof deceased Sarpanch, Fayaz Ahmad and Driver, Abdul Qayoom at Gulgam and Gugloosa respectively who died in a road accident in Pattan area, yesterday.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner expressed his grief over the loss of precious lives and extended sympathy with the bereaved families.
The Deputy Commissioner provided an immediate cash relief of Rs.10000 each to the kins of deceased persons and Rs.5000 each to 5 persons injured in the accident. He also participated in the last rites of the deceased persons.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officers to ensure all facilities to the injured for their speedy recovery.
