Srinagar : The cleanliness drive of Dal Lake organized by the J&K Lake Conservation and Management Authority continued on the 16th day Tuesday in an enthusiastic way under the ATHWAAS initiative of the government.
Tuesday, Director NIT Prof.RakeshSehgal participated in the initiative of Dal Cleaning drive by removing the chunk of weed from the lake.
Speaking on the occasion, the Director said that the LCMA has started a very good initiative by involving the stakeholders, officers from different departments, locals etc. He said, it is the awareness that LCMA is spreading among masses that Dal belongs to each and every one, so it is our collective duty to keep it clean and healthy.
About 20 students from College of Education Srinagar participated in the drive and removed the weeds from the lake.
Project officer LCMA and other officials were present in the said event.
