DLSA Udhampur hosts Awareness Program on Solid Waste Management

Udhampur On the directions of J&K Legal Services Authority, and under the Chairmanship of Chairman District Legal Services Authority Udhampur Y.P. Bourney and overall Supervision of Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Udhampur Rajni Sharma, a Legal Awareness Programme on Solid Waste Management was organized by District Legal Services Authority, Udhampur in Collaboration with Municipal Office Udhampur at TownhallUdhampur Tuesday i.e on 19/04/2022. Panel Lawyers Advocate Sanjeet Kumar and Advocate AkhilDubey were the Resource Persons for the Programme. The main purpose of this Awareness Programme was to create awareness among the general public about the Solid Waste Management, the Collecting, treating and disposing of Solid Material according to its nature that is separate collection, treatment and disposal of Wet waste, Dry waste and Bio-Medical waste.
Later, the Secretary DLSA thanked the gathering and stressed upon all the participants to adopt new mechanisms to dispose of the Solid Waste a make this Earth a better place to live in. The programme was attended by the General Public and the Staff of Municipal Department, Udhampur.
