DLSA Reasi hosts awareness camp on Juvenile Justice

Reasi District Legal Services Authority, Reasi Friday organized an awareness camp at Government Middle School Hansali, on “The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015.”
SunaliKhajuria, District Legal cum Probationary Officer, JJB, Reasi was the resource person.
The resource person shared her knowledge on the core issues of the subject i.e. The Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015.
Rekha Kapoor Nischal, Secretary District Legal Services Authority, Reasi also addressed the gathering on the occasion. In the middle of the program, a documentary film on basic aspects of Juvenile Justice Act 2015 namely Hastakshep (Kishore Nyaya: DekRekhAvmSuraksha) was also shown to the student participants through the projector which was highly appreciated by the school management. The objective of organizing this awareness camp was to focus on the core topics of Rights and Protection of Children, Categories of Children (Child in Conflict with Law, Child in need of Care and Protection and Child in contact with Law), the role of Juvenile Justice Board, Child Welfare Committee etc.
During the course of the program, the students interacted with Secretary DLSA Reasi. Anil Dubey, Headmaster Government Middle School, Hansali conveyed vote of thanks to the District Legal Services Authority Reasi for arranging this first time awareness camp in their school. At the end of the program Child Helpline no.1098 was shared with the students and light refreshment was also distributed among the student participants.
