Mega Block Diwas held at Kulgam, DC listens to people at Kulgam block

Kulgam : The District Administration Kulgam Wednesday organized Mega Block Diwas in three blocks of the district to take appraisal of the public issues, grievances and demands.
During the programme functions were held at Devsar, Kulgam and D. H. Pora blocks of the district.
Officers and officials from line departments listened to issues, grievances and demands of the public for timely redressal at all the three venues.
Meanwhile, to take first hand appraisal of public grievances and demands, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.BilalMohi-Ud-Din Bhat remained available at Kulgam block of the district where he listened to grievances and issues of people for redressal.
PRI members and officers from District administration were also present during this block Diwas.
The delegations from Palnoo, Zaban, demanded alignment of the HT line through the road side while another delegation of ST population from BrinalLamad demanded reduction of the monthly power bill.
A youth delegation from BrazlooJageer demanded removal of encroachments from identified playfield and members from Frisal Tehsil Welfare Committee demanded development and preservation of Sheikpal spring. They also flagged the demand of a Filtration plant in the area to provide safe drinking water to the people besides Protection bund at critical spots at BadiKhul and desilting of LaktKhul.
Delegation from HalanLamad demanded augmentation of water supply and extension of health facilities.
Scores of other delegations from other areas also raised their issues and grievances for redressal during the public outreach programme.
The DC after giving patient hearing to the public addressed some of the immediate nature of grievances on the spot and issues required to be redressed at higher level, were also noted.
Dr Bilal on the occasion said that Block Diwas is an initiative for improving the delivery of services and to ensure on spot redressal of issues of immediate nature in the most efficient manner.
Meanwhile, grievances redressal camps were also organised at Block D.H.Pora and block Devsar where ADDC and SDM listened to issues and grievances of people for redressal.
