Assistant Soil Chemist Anantnag while speaking on the occasion said that farmers must come forward for soil testing as the testing is being done free of cost by the department.
Different crops need different quantities of micro and macronutrients and minerals and to get the best yields, sufficient availability of nutrients is required which can be determined by soil testing only, he added.
