Change of Land Use: DLC approves two cases in Rajouri

Rajouri : A meeting of the District Level Committee on change of land use Saturdaymet under the chairmanship of the Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, VikasKundal to discuss and approve the applications received online from the applicants from across the district.
Officers who attended the meeting included DFO Rajouri, Arshdeep Singh; ADC Rajouri, Sachin Dev Singh; ACR, Imran Rashid Kataria; SE Hydraulics, JP Singh and other concerned officers.
It is pertinent to mention here that the new guidelines have been issued to regulate the uncontrolled conversion of agricultural land for non-agricultural purposes on the one hand and also keep developmental aspirations of the district and the people on the other hand in order to ensure sustainability in the environment.
The meeting after a threadbare discussion approved two cases of conversion of land to non-agricultural purposes including those of Nirmal Sharma of Thudi( Petrol pump) and Vikram Singh of Bakhar( Stone crusher).
The DC directed concerned departments to ensure timely issuance of NOCs to the applicants after proper verification of documents and rules under land conversion Regulations, 2022. He also advised the officers to get field certification before disposal of the applications.
He also enquired about the status of NOCs being issued in favour of applicants, the applications received online till date, besides their reporting and follow up status by the concerned departments.
Ramban Forest Divn holds fire prevention awareness camp at Dedha, Kalimasta
Gool: Forest Division Ramban Saturdayorganised an awareness camp to educate the locals about the forest fire prevention measuresat Dedha and KalimastaPanchayats of Gool Forest Range.
Councillor, District Development Council, Saki Mohammad Choudhary was the Chief Guest at Dedha and the camp was attended by the locals, PRIs and officials of the block.
Addressing the participants, the Chief Guest said that the forest fires have a devastating effect on both environment and forests. He appealed to the locals to help the Forest Department in controlling forest fire incidents.
Block Officer Dedha Abdul Rashid said that setting forest fire is an offence under IFA, 1927 and could invite a penalty of Rs 25000 or 2 years imprisonment or both.
He further said those people who exercise any right in the forest are bound to extinguish fire, inform the forest officials, discover and arrest the offenders.
Similar awareness camp was organized at Hara Kalimasta along with staff, locals and PRIs. The fire awareness camps were held under overall supervision of Range Officer GoolRajinder Singh Parihar and DFO Ramban Dr Rajan Singh.
Health awareness prog organized at Palli under POSHAN ABHIYAN
Samba : Department of AYUSH, in collaboration with ICDS, on Saturday organized a health awareness camp under PoshanAbhiyan here at Government High school PanchayatPalli of Block Bari-Brahmana.
District Nodal Officer AYUSH, Dr Vikram Singh Jamwal said that an awareness camp and health check camp was organized for school going children under PoshanAbhiyan Scheme here on the directions of Director AYUSH J&K, Dr. Mohan Singh and guidance of Deputy Commissioner Samba Anuradha Gupta,.
The participants including pregnant ladies, adolescent girls and children were advised to take nutritional food and explained the consequences of nutritional deficiencies. The Beneficiaries were also appealed to follow covid appropriate behaviour.
The concept of a balanced diet was also shared with the people. Free AYUSH Medicines including Chawanprash, Amalaki tablets along with fruits were also distributed among the beneficiaries.
Poahan rally was also taken out by the students.
Among others AnuRadha Medical Officer KharaMadana, Paramjeet Kaur Junior Pharmacist along with ICDS deptt workers and Kamaljeet Headmaster GHS and locals were present.
