Kishtwar : The concluding day of five day “Puneet Sagar Abhiyan” program organised by NCC unit of Government Degree College Kishtwar ended with a signature campaign.
Earlier, the Program started on 1st of April 2022 with cleanliness of water bodies. On this day NCC cadets went to Bhadarkoot area where chenab river flows. They took out waste material from the bank of the river.
Thereafter, on 2nd, 3rd and 4th April 2022 the NCC cadets conducted multifarious activities to spread awareness through posters Making Competition, skit item and Essay writing etc.
The students, common masses, passersby, teaching staff, non teaching staff participated in the Signature Campaign, besides the NCC cadets also talked about “Puneet Sagar Abhiyan” and its importance.
The NCC cadets urged the participants to avoid the dumping of waste material in the water body and alsosensitise others not to do so.
The campaign witnessed a huge participation of students, staff members and common people during this 5 days campaign.
The students drawn from different colleges of the district were roped in this campaign as it was an easy and viable platform to spread this awareness on a larger scale.
The whole event was managed by NCC cadets spearheaded by Associate NCC officer Lt (Dr.) Madhu Bala under the overall supervision and instruction of Principal GDC Kishtwar Prof. Anirudh Sharma.
