DDC Kishtwar chairs meeting of Panchayat Mentors

DM asks them to saturate "100 Point Program" in each Panchayat during Gram Swaraj Month

Kishtwar: District Development Commissioner, Ashok Kumar Sharma Saturday chaired a meeting of ‘Mentors for Panchayats’ here at conference Hall of DC office complex and asked them to ensure the saturation of the recently launched “100 point program” in each Panchayat during the Gram Swaraj Month.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Kishori Lal Sharma; Joint Director Planning Mohammad Iqbal; ACR Akhter Hussain Qazi; ACD Kishtwar Atul Dutt Sharma; DPO Kishtwar Sunil Bhutyal, SDMs besides officers designated as Panchayat Mentors attended the meeting.
At the outset, the DDC gave an insight of the “100-points program” finalized for ‘Gram Swaraj Month’ which will mainly focus on rural infrastructure, good governance, livelihood generation, financial inclusion, youth empowerment, environment protection and women empowerment.
He directed the Panchayat mentors to brace up and synergize their efforts for the effective implementation and saturation of “100 points program” finalised for the Gram Swaraj Month.
Meanwhile, he also informed that for the first time, 50% of the budget of the next fiscal year has been released at the beginning of the fiscal year.
“The executing agencies and the department need to avail this opportunity and kick start the tendering of work immediately to pave the way for early start of projects,” the DC asked the Officers.
He directed departments to complete the tendering process by May 31, 222 in all respects so that the projected works under Capex budget, ADP, DDC and BDC grant shall be taken up on immediate basis.
Besides, the BDOs and Panchayat Mentors were asked to ensure that the Gram Sabhas are conducted regularly in each Panchayat and PRIs were taken on board to ensure grassroots level participation.
Furthermore, DDC Kishtwar implored upon all the concerned officers to make necessary arrangements for the celebration of National Panchayat Day 222 on April 24 at each Panchayat and ensure the participation of PRIs and masses in the program.
The District Development Commissioner Kishtwar asked all the Panchayat mentors to share the e-book reflecting the various Centrally Sponsored Schemes and Individual beneficiary schemes with the PRIs so that the awareness regarding the same shall be percolated down up to grassroots level.
Discussion on the various key issues like Har Panchayats Ik panchayat Ghar, 100 percent saturation of Aadhar Card, Jan Dhan Yojana, PMAY was also held in the meeting.
