DC Ganderbal reviews Ramadan, Navratra arrangements

Ganderbal : The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Ganderbal, Krittika Jyotsna Friday chaired a meeting of officers to review the arrangements for the ensuing holy month of Ramadan and Navratra festival.
At the outset, threadbare discussions were held regarding the arrangements to be put in place for the convenience of people. She asked all the departments to ensure adequate facilities are provided by their respective departments so that people may not face any inconvenience.
Directions were also issued to the concerned departments to ensure uninterrupted water and power supply, especially during Sehri and Iftar hours, cleanliness and strict monitoring of quality and rates of essential commodities.
AD, FCS&CA was instructed to ensure food grains and other essential commodities including cooking gas are available in adequate quantities at all outlets and food stores throughout the district.
EO, Municipal Council Ganderbal was directed to ensure cleanliness and sanitation around the main mosques in the district and Kheerbhawani Tullamulla Shrine on the eve of Navratra.
ARTOGanderbal was instructed to make adequate transport arrangements for the upcoming Ramadan-ul-Mubarak on all routes, especially Ganderbal-Hazratbal and Ganderbal-Soura route.
The DC impressed upon the CMO Ganderbal to ensure timely availability of health services during Ramadan and Navratra festival.
Jyotsna instructed all the Tehsildars to intensify market checking to keep check on overcharging of daily-use items like fruits and vegetables including poultry and mutton.
The DC directed the officers to ensure all possible facilities and better amenities are provided to the people during the holy month of Ramadan so that they may not face any inconvenience.
Among others, the meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, Farooq Ahmad Baba; CMO, Executive Engineers of various wings, EO Municipal Council Ganderbal, ARTO, Assistant Director, FCS&CA, Tehsildars and other district officers.
