Udhampur : District Legal Services Authority, Udhampur, in collaboration with Mahila Shakti Kendra organized a workshop on Legal Rights of Women at DPO ICDS Complex here Wednesday.
The theme of the Programme, held under the overall supervision of Secretary District Legal Services Authority UdhampurRajni Sharma (Sub-Judge), was Towards Empowering Women.
The Resource Persons of the Programme were Panel Lawyers, Adv. Sanjeet Kumar, and Adv. Balwan Singh.
The resource persons discussed the issues faced by the Women and enlightened the gathering about the women centric Welfare Schemes of the Government.
The DLSA Secretary, while welcoming the Resource Persons and Participants, stressed upon the need to safeguard the basic rights which are vital to a human life, especially to Women. She asked the stakeholders to conduct door to door awareness regarding the legal rights of women and government schemes meant for their socio-economic empowerment.
Later, the District Social Welfare Officer Udhampur felicitated the resource persons and the participants by presenting them mementoes and certificates.
Kanika Gupta Nodal Officer (Mahila Shakti Kendra) Udhampur presented memento to Secretary DLSA.
