DDC Chairman Rajouri discusses Capex Budget plan 2022-23

Rajouri : District Development Council Chairman Rajouri, ChowdharyNaseemLiyaqat Saturday chaired a meeting of the PRIs and concerned officers to discuss the plan proposals for District Capex Budget 2022-23.
Among others present in the meeting, included DDC Rajouri, VikasKundal; ADDC/CEO DDC, Pawan Kumar; DDC Member Rajouri, Sai Abdul Rashid; DDC Member Thanamandi, Abdul Qayoom Mir; DDC Member Sunderbani, Rajinder Sharma; DDC Member Seri, Sangeeta Sharma; DDC Member Dhangri, Rameshwar Singh; DDC Member Kalakote, Anita Thakur; DDC Member Moughla, Shamim Akhter and DDC Member Nowshera, Dr Manohar Singh.
BDC Rajouri, DarbarChowdhary; BDC Siot, Bal Krishan; BDC Manjakote, Mohd Aslam; BDC QilaDarhal, Khalid Firdoz; BDC Budhal Old-A, Javed Iqbal Chowdhary; BDC Sunderbani, Arun Sharma; BDC Seri, Neena Sharma; BDC Nowshera, Bodh Raj; BDC Moughla, SurekhaKotewal; BDC Manjakote, Shamshad Begum; BDC Budhal New, Shamim Akhter and BDC Plunger, Parveen Akhter attended the meeting.
CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; DFO Rajouri, Arshdeep Singh; ACD, Vijay Kumar; ACP, Abdul Rashid Kohli; DSEO, Sandeep also attended the meeting.
At the outset, the CEO, DDC gave a detailed overview with regard to the preparation of the Capex Budget for the financial year 2022-23 as enshrined in the guidelines issued by the finance department.
The DDC members and the BDC Chairpersons also gave their valuable suggestions and feedback with regard to the developmental requirements of their areas.
The District Development Commissioner, VikasKundal exhorted upon the elected representatives to prioritize works as per the popular local demands while formulating plans for their respective areas.
He also reiterated that timely formulation of development plans will help a lot to take up the works in time and utilization of budgetary provision.
Addressing the officers in the meeting, the Chairman asked the concerned departments to formulate the plan in consultation with the PRI members and as per the needs of their areas and submit the same at the earliest so that work on the proposed projects can be started timely.
He further asked officers to explore all the avenues for capital expenditure, besides incorporating workable and efficient inputs and data for a rational and proper formulation of the plan proposals.
The Chairman also directed the departments to project only those works/projects which benefit maximum people and could be completed in stipulated time frame as per the guidelines of the Finance department.
Stressing upon the close coordination between the Administrative unit and PRIs, he advised the officers and PRIs to work in synergy for the speeding up development process of the district.
He also advised the PRIs to educate the general public about various schemes and programs being implemented by different departments in the district for their welfare and motivate them to avail the necessary benefits of the same.
