VC IUST calls on Guv

Srinagar: Prof. Mushtaq A. Siddiqi, Vice Chancellor Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Awantipora, called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here Wednesday.

Prof. Siddiqi informed the Governor about the ongoing academic programs and his plans to enhance the institution’s standing in the coming time.

Governor reiterated his concern that the educational interests of the entire student community must be vigorously promoted and safeguarded and, under no circumstances, should the future careers of the student community be allowed to get exploited or jeopardized in any manner.  He lauded Prof. Siddiqi’s continuing endeavour to maintain close contact with the students and in encouraging their advancement towards profitable goals.
