Doda : One day training cum workshop under National Rabies Control Program was Thursday organised for Medical Officers here by District Health Society Doda.
As many as 50 Medical Officers from Assar, Bhaderwah, Gandoh, Ghat and Thathri Blocks participated in the training workshop.
The workshop was held under the supervision of Chief Medical Officer, Dr M Y Mir.
Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Dr Mayan ud Din, HOD Community Medicine GMC D, Dr Suresh Kotwal were Resource Persons.
Medical Officer Community Medicine Dr Walied Khawar Balwan, District Epidemiologist Dr Umar Anayat Khan, Faizan A Tramboo, Miss Roma Sharma were also present on the occasion.
The speakers delivered exhaustive lectures regarding Rabies, its occurrences, spread, symptoms, prevention, control & management and impressed upon the participants to serve as representatives for spreading awareness in the community and help in eradicating the deadly disease.
Later, an interactive session on the subject was also held in which queries of the participants were answered by the subject experts.
