Weekly Block Diwas held at Kokernag

Anantnag: Addl. Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Gulzar Ahmad, Wednesday presided over eeeklu Block Diwas in Kokernag at Budget Accommodation.
During the programme, schemes of various departments were discussed and participants were made aware about them. Social Welfare and ICDS department present numbercof individuals covered and cases sanctioned under various welfare measures.
Besides, development projects carried out under District CAPEX programme were also discussed.
Several PRIs projected their issues which were discussed at length and necessary directions were given by ADC. The PRIs were advised to conduct thorough deliberations during Gram Sabha while formulating the development plans for the next fiscal year and ensure that works as per local priorities are included in the plans.
The ADC also reviewed the action take on issues raised in previous Block Divas. He directed the officials present to ensure that all grievances put forth during block diwas are either resolved on spot or resolved within stipulated time frame. He laid emphasis on ensuring that public delivery of services is efficient and transparent.
The block diwas was attended by PRIs and officials of various department along with members of civil society.
