GDC Ramban organizes series of events on “Saheedi Diwas”

Ramban : The NSS Unit of Government Degree College, Ramban organized a series of events on “SaheediDiwas” here on the College campus under the aegis of “AzadiKaAmritMahaotsav”. The Principal, Government Degree College Ramban, Dr Ranvijay Singh supervised the events.
The programme commenced with a pledge taking ceremony by the students and staff members of the college followed by an awareness rally on the contribution of our unsung heroes in Indian Independence. The rally started from the College campus to Karole Bridge.
A group song titled “AaoBachoTumeDikheyJanki Hindustan ki” was performed by NSS Volunteers followed by two patriotic solo songs “KarChale Hum Fida&Ae Mere VatanKe Logo” by Deepak Thakur and RajniChib respectively.
A poster making competition on the theme “Unsung Heroes of Indian Freedom STRUGGLE” was held in which MeenkshiRaju and Ansoya Devi of semester – II, secured first and second position and Sachin Chib&SoniKatoch of semester II secured the third position respectively.
As many as 50 NSS volunteers took part in the events along with the staff members. The proceedings of the whole event were conducted by Prof.AnkurDogra. The overall programme was conducted under the supervision of Programme Officer, NSS Unit Prof.Vickey Rattan.
