Handwara: In view of the growing menace of drug abuse and addiction especially among youth, Police in Handwara in collaboration with Youth Civil Society Kashmir organised a drug de-addiction rally.
According to a police statement, the rally was led by SHO PS Handwara besides other officers and officials of PS Handwara and members of Youth Civil Society Kashmir participated in the rally.
The rally started from Police Station Handwara and culminated at New Bus Stand passing through Town Handwara. The participants took out rally, holding banners and placards against the sale and use of illicit drugs.
The aim of the rally was to spread awareness against drug abuse and its ill effects on society. The organizers of the rally appealed people to prove yourself as responsible citizens by cooperating police in identifying drug addicts in their localities so that they can be counseled in better ways.
