DDC Chairperson Kishtwar chairs public outreach prog at Nagseni

Kishtwar: To listen and redress the grievances of the people at their doorsteps, Chairperson, District Development Council, Kishtwar Pooja Thakur Tuesday chaired a public outreach programme here at block headquarter Nagseni.
The programme was organised by the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj and witnessed the participation of all the line departments.
During the public outreach programme, a large number of people put forth their demands and problems and sought the intervention of the DCC Chairperson for early redressal of the same.
The PRIs and other locals demanded adequate staff in the PHE department, augmentation of drinking water supply, streamlining the functioning of schools at Padhyarna Nagseni, Employment of youths in Hydro Power Projects, school bus for the students of Dool, Kawar and padhyarna. They also complained about inconvenience caused to the locals due to the blasting in the area and sought remedial measures.
Responding to the demands of the people, the DDC Chairperson, Pooja Thakur assured that all issues shall be redressed on priority. She passed on the spot directions to the concerned officers for the resolution of the same.
While interacting with the general public, the DDC Chairperson said that the District Development Council Kishtwar has already launched a massive public outreach programme with an unflinching commitment.
She urged the public to repose their faith in three tier Panchayati raj Institutions and avail the benefits of various flagship programmes which the Government has put at the disposal of the general Public.
DDC councilor Kishtwar Zakir Hussain Bhatt; DDC councilor Nagseni, Faisal Hussain; BDO Nagseni Abhay Indu Sharma; Tehsildar Nagseni, Majid Jahangir and several officers and civil society members attended the programme.
