DDC Kishtwar reviews progress of works under RDD sector

Kishtwar: To review the Block-wise status of works under District Capex 2021-22, BDC, DDC and PRIs grants and other schemes of RDD sector, District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Sharma Tuesday convened a meeting of BDOs and field functionaries of Rural Development Department here at his office Chamber.
He took a detailed Block wise review of the progress of works taken up under the District Capex budget, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA), 14th FC etc. He also assessed the status of the convergence plan to be taken up with various line departments.
During the meeting, the DDC took stock of the progress in the formulation of ADP for the year 2022-23 and passed on a number of directions.
He stressed all the BDOs to stick to the guidelines while formulating the next plan and take PRIs,DDCs and BDCs on board.
The BDOs were further asked to ensure the completion of the allotted works by March ending. He exhorted upon the officers and field functionaries to work with dedication and in a transparent manner to complete the works within the fixed time frame besides stressed upon the officers to maintain transparency and accountability in the execution of works.
Meanwhile, he directed the XEns and concerned officers to submit the estimates for the repair and renovation of the Kundhail Bridge and the KP-Bridal Path from the Kundhail to Machail stretch within a week’s time so that work can be started soon and it is made trackable and safer for pilgrims ahead of start of Holy Machail Mata Yatra.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Kishtwar Sham Lal, Joint Director planning Mohd Iqbal,ACD Kishtwar Atul Dutt Sharma,DPO Kishtwar Sunil Bhutyal besides all BDOs, Executive Engineer, AEEs and Technical staff.
