DC Kishtwar interacts with media persons, Listens to their grievances, assures time bound redressal

Kishtwar  Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar Ashok Sharma Tuesday convened an interactive meeting with the local Media fraternity.
Additional District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Sham Lal, Joint Director Planning Mohd Iqbal, ACR Kishtwar Akhter Hussain Qazi, DSWO/District Information Officer Kishtwar Tariq Parveaz Qazi, Media persons from different organisations participated in the meeting.
The Media Fraternity apprised the Deputy Commissioner about the issues of media persons in Kishtwar besides, put forth demand for establishment of a Press club.
The Deputy Commissioner listened to the grievances of the media fraternity and assured them that their issues will be resolved in a time bound manner.
The Deputy Commissioner further informed them that the building for the establishment of Press Club has been identified at a designated place near the TRC Kishtwar and after its renovation, the same will be handed over to the Information Department for further use as press club.
While appreciating the role of media fraternity in highlighting the development of the district, the DC called for focusing on positive and constructive reporting.
Besides, other issues like effective traffic Management in the town, awareness regarding the drug menace and current Developmental scenario in the district were also discussed in the meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed upon the media fraternity to reach out to the public and ensure that their issues are brought into the notice of the administration for redressal of their issues.
