Jammu : Principal Secretary, School Education Department (SED), B K Singh, Tuesday paid a surprise visit to Government Boys Higher Secondary School Bihnah to review functioning of the institute.
Pertinently, the educational institutions have recently reopened for in-person classes in the region after a gap of almost 2 years in the wake of Covid-19.
Director School Education Department, Jammu, Dr. Ravi Shankar Sharma, Additional Secretary, Education, Naseer Ahmed Wani, Chief Education Officer, Suraj Singh Rathore and other senior officers accompanied the Principal Secretary.
During the visit, Singh interacted with the staff and students of the school and enquired about the working of the school. He also inspected the school building, classrooms and laboratories and instructed the concerned for improvement in the existing infrastructure and other necessary facilities being made available in the school.
Interacting with the students, Principal Secretary exhorted upon them to deeply understand the basic concepts of their subjects and work hard towards achieving excellence in the academics.
He asked the staff to make the teaching-learning process more practical and motivating so that students take up their studies with utmost devotion. He also asked them to strictly follow all Covid SOPs during their offline classes.
