National Lok Adalat : 2595 cases disposed of, Rs 713421 realized as settlement amount in Reasi

Reasi  : District Legal Services Authority Reasi Saturday organized National Lok Adalat here under the insightful directions of Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey, Executive Chairman, JKLSA and radiant guidance and Supervision of R.N. Watal, Chairman DLSA Reasi (Pr. District & Sessions Judge Reasi).
Five Benches were constituted for settling the cases. The Bench No.1 comprised R.N. Watal Pr. District & Sessions Judge, Rekha Kapoor Nischal, Secretary District Legal Services Authority and Advocate K.K. Dubey, District Bar Association, Reasi; Bench No.2 was consisted of Sudesh Sharma, Chief Judicial Magistrate (Sub-Judge), Arti Devi, Munsiff and Advocate Pawan Khajuria, President Bar Association Reasi; Bench No. 3 comprised of Manoj Kumar Parihar, Sub-Judge, Sandeep Sen, Munsiff, and Advocate Akhil Prashar, President Bar Association, Katra; Bench 4 included Mahavir Singh, Munsiff Mahore, Abdul Gani Bhatt, President Bar Association, Mahore and Advocate S.S. Sahni, Tehsil Mahore and Bench no 5 was comprising of Priyanka Mahajan, Addl. Special Mobile Magistrate Reasi and Rashi Baru, Advocate Bar Association Reasi.
The matters placed before the Benches included Civil, Criminal Compoundable, Cheque Bounce, Recovery matters, MACT, Matrimonial, Public Utility Services and Pre Litigation matters and also Traffic Challans.
A total 3141 cases were taken up for amicable settlement out of which 2595 cases were settled and an amount of 713421 was realized as settlement amount.
