ADDC Doda reviews progress of languishing projects

Doda : Additional District Development Commissioner Doda Pran Singh Saturday chaired a meeting of key officials of various departments and executing agencies here in the mini meeting hall of the DC office and reviewed the status of the projects taken up in the district under the languishing Project scheme.
During the meeting, the ADDC enquired about the physical progress of the works, forest clearances, expenditure incurred, funds released, bills uploaded, earlier deadlines, number of works ongoing, besides also took stock of the issues due to which various projects are held up at different stages.
The ADDC directed all the departments and executing agencies to ensure that all the works approved under languishing scheme shall be completed under the targeted time frame, besides asked the planning section to send a communication to the revenue authorities of respective areas to submit the factual report on those works which are held up due to land dispute across the district within next fifteen days.
With regard to the forest clearances and change in nomenclature issues, the ADDC directed the concerned departments and executing agencies to take up the matter with the concerned quarters for the timely execution of the works, besides asking the executing agencies to upload the bills of the completed works for the timely payments.
While reviewing the status of works of PHE approved under languishing, it was informed to the chair that funds are likely to be released and six works are completed till now out of 27 works and bills are uploaded, besides the Ex En PHE Doda informed to the chair that it has been decided by the higher authorities that the remaining works which are yet not completed to be projected under JJM.
Meanwhile, the ADDC also reviewed the works of ULB, District Jail, Polytechnic College, Sheep Husbandry and directed the concerned to submit the latest position of their works for proper review.
The meeting was attended by CPO Doda, SE PWD, Ex En PHE, Ex En PWD, Ex En PWD Gandoh, Dy Director Sheep Husbandry, AD Planning DC office, EO MC Doda, EO MC Bhaderwah, Superintendent Jail Bhaderwah, besides representatives of PDD and other officials were also present in the meeting.
