DC Shopian reviews progress of works under Distt Capex Budget, DDC, BDC, PRI Grants

Shopian: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Schin Kumar Vaishya Saturday reviewed the ongoing/new works proposed under District Capex Budget 2021-22 including DDC, BDC, PRI grants.The meeting discussed the works proposed for meeting the developmental needs of the district with focus on strengthening grassroots level democracy.The DC took a comprehensive review on the progress of developmental projects undertaken by Health, Education, PMGSY, JKPDCL, PWD, NRLM, Agriculture, Horticulture, Jal Shakti department and other sectors.The concerned officers apprised the chair regarding the status of works approved under DDC, BDC and PRI components.Speaking on the occasion, the DC stressed on the concerned authorities to take all possible measures to accelerate the pace of the ongoing works for their time-bound completion. He also cautioned against any kind of laxity in completing the works within the set time lines.Vaishya exhorted for mobilizing men and machinery for completing the projects in stipulated time frame and urged to ensure productive and fruitful utilization of the available resources.Meanwhile, various issues and bottlenecks impeding the completion of projects were also highlighted by the concerned officers and sought the speedy disposal of these issues.
Among others, Chief Planning Officer, Shopian, Khursheed Ahmed Khatana, SE R&B, CEO, CMO, Ex. Engineers of PDD, PHE and PMGSY besides senior officers of the concerned departments were present in the meeting.
