IWD: Women provided with livelihood opportunities felicitated at Samba

Samba : Under the aegis of International Women’s Day, District Administration Samba in collaboration with Rural Development Department held a felicitation ceremony where several women were felicitated who were provided livelihood opportunities under MGNREGA.
On the occasion, the Chief Guest Deputy Commissioner, Anuradha Gupta distributed certificates of commendation among the women in presence of Additional District Development Commissioner Rajinder Singh and other officers including Assistant Commissioner Development Sidharath Dhiman.
As many as 75 women were felicitated. The DC laid emphasis on the role and importance of women in framing and developing the nation.
Later, Deputy Commissioner also distributed mementos and certificates among the winners of HUNAR-‘Display Your Talent progamme’ held on Women’s Day 08th March and two pension cases were also sanctioned on the spot.
District Social Welfare Officer Deep Kumar, District Information Officer Ajay Sharma, officials from college, and other departments were also present.
