Haq Khan reviews DDB decisions, CM’s commitments at Ang

Anantnag: Minister for Rural Development, Law and Panchayat Raj, Abdul Haq Monday reviewed the implementation of District Development Board Decisions, 2017-18 here at Dak Bungalow Anantnag.

During the meeting, Minister was informed that the construction of Pushwara – Sofigund bridge will be completed up to October 2017, while as Rakh Chee Bridge will be completed by the end of November 2017. Also the work on bridge under construction at Bagh – e – Nowgam on Nallah Brangi under MGNREGA Convergence is going on full swing and will be completed by the end of October 2017.

Meeting was informed that the Bypass road from Ashajipora to Mehandikadal has been macadamised and thrown open for traffic by the Chief Minister on 22nd of July 2017, resulting in minimizing the heavy traffic jamming in the Anantnag town

The Minister was also informed that water supply scheme Kehribal – Rambierpora will be completed by the end of August 2018 while as work is in progress for the construction of water supply scheme at South campus University of Kashmir.

The Minister was apprised about the pace of work of shopping complex started in 2005, being constructed at old SRTC yard by Urban Development Department at a revised cost of Rs. 30 crore, having a space of 80 shops. On the occasion, The Director Urban Development Department Kashmir sought the intervention of the minister for releasing the liability of Rs. 5 Crore.

The District Development Commissioner Anantnag, Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah informed the Minister that finishing work of SDH Dooru, being constructed by Police Housing Board is under progress and the hospital will be inaugurated by the15th of Sept. 2017

Abdul Haq directed the concerned officers and agencies for completion of ongoing projects and also stressed upon the Director Local Bodies for construction of five link roads in Anantnag town including the link road at Deva Coloney, Nazuk Mohalla, Eidgah Anantnag and dewatering pump station at Ganjiwara.

The Minister said after 17th of August he will personally visit the ongoing works in Anantnag constituency to access that whatever is being discussed in the meeting is really existing on the ground or not. The minister emphasized upon all the officers to work diligently for the early completion of DDB decisions and CM commitments.

Other DDB decisions including the establishment of SKUAST campus at Kokernag, Krishi  Vikas Kendre at Kreeri, water supply schemes  of Wopzan and Khudpora under LIC, development of sports infrastructure in Dooru  were discussed threadbare.

The meeting was also attended by Director Rural Development Department Kashmir, Director Urban development Kashmir, Chief Engineer PDD Kashmir ADC Anantnag. ACD Anantnag, SE PDD, Exens of PDD, PHE, Irrigation, Flood Control and other district officers.
