Srinagar: An enthralling cultural program was held as part of the ‘weekly cultural program series’ titled “Culture on Cruise”, here last evening.

The event was organized by J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) in association with Tourism Department Kashmir.
The program saw performances from JK’s famous artists Manzoor Ahmad Shah and Raashid Jehangir which enthralled the audiences.
This initiative has been organized to further Government’s intention to preserve and promote the composite culture of the State.
Secretary JKAACL, Dr Aziz Hajini thanking the people for their overwhelming response towards this initiative, said such events provide people from all walks of life, an opportunity to come together and celebrate their culture, heritage and diversity.

He further said during the short span of organizing ‘Culture On Cruise’, the academy has witnessed locals and tourists alike turning up in large numbers to enjoy this unique musical experience on waters of serene Dal Lake.

Dr Hajini said the academy is looking forward to hosting such events on regular basis. Broadcaster Talha Jehangir anchored the program.
