AJKPA delegation calls on DDC Chairperson Udhampur

Udhampur : A delegation of all Jammu and Kashmir Patwar Association and ASHA Workers led by respective Presidents called on Chairperson District Development Council, Udhampur Lal Chand in his office Chamber here on Wednesday.
The delegation of all Jammu & Kashmir Patwar Association headed by District President put forward several demands of the employees of the department which include Enhancement of Grade Pay of Patwaries from Rs. 2400 to Rs. 2800 in view of the fact that the minimum qualification for recruitment to Patwari has been raised from 12th to Graduation with knowledge of Urdu as the teacher/ Accounts Assistant having graduation as minimum qualification are getting grade pay of Rs.2800.
They also sought creation of GQ Circle and Rationalization of Patwar Halqas at an earliest as a Patwari has to cater to 10-12 villages.
Timely DPC of Patwaries and GQ’s, Construction of Patwar Khanas, Creation of Department enquiry cell, Ban on direct requirement of Naib Tehsildars as the same results in the stagnation of Patwaries , amendment of Revenue Subordinate Recruitment Rules were other demands projected the delegation.
After patiently hearing to the issues and demands, the DDC Chairperson assured the delegation that their demands and issues will be forwarded to the higher authorities at an earliest.
Another, delegation of Asha Workers headed by Rita Rani put forth their issues and demands. They apprised the DDC Chairperson that Asha workers of the District worked relentlessly during Covid-19 pandemic as they were assigned multiple tasks by the department like conducting vaccination survey, organizing awareness camps dispersal Covid-19 testing kits, Transportation of all kinds of vaccines in the District.
They demanded enhancement of monthly honorarium as per the minimum act, Transport allowances, Enhancement of mobile recharges etc. The delegation requested the DDC Chairperson to take up the genuine issues of Asha workers with the concerned authorities for early redressal.
