DDC Poonch reviews performance of Banks at DLRC meeting

Poonch  : District Development Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet, who is also chairman of DLRC (District Level Review Committee) Chaired a meeting to review the performance of banks viz a viz line departments for the quarter ending Dec.2021 here at conference hall of Dak- Bunglow Poonch.
At the outset, Lead Bank Officer, Sukhbir Singh highlighted the overall performance of for the 3rd quarter under Annual credit plan (ACP) and informed the houses that the district has achieved 93% of total ACP i.e. the district stood Rs.592.10 crore as on 31.12.2021 against a target of 633.89 crore.
The achievements under priority sector is 59% (against target of Rs. 497.70 crore it is Rs. 293.14 Cr. Thus ranking no.1 one in the entire J&K. Achievement under agriculture sector is at 63% (against target of Rs.191.22 crore it is at 121.29 cr.) again at no.1, it was further highlighted in the meeting.
It was also informed to the house that the total deposits and advances in the district were at Rs.3297.01crore & 1550.93crore as on 31.12.2021 against Rs.3074.50 & 1294.76 cr. against the corresponding period of last year thus showing a growth of 7.23% & 19.78% YOY in both segments ( Rs. 222.51&Rs.256.17Crore.)
The CD ratio of the district as on 31.12.2021 stood at 47.04% which was at 42.11% on 31.12.2020 showing a growth of 11.71% YOY.
The house was informed that an amount of Rs. 29.38 crore was disbursed amongst 1134 beneficiaries under various self employment schemes during this financial Year (2021-22) till 31.12.2021.
The District Development Commissioner instructed all banks for early disposal of all cases on priority and also instructed line departments to sponsor cases properly and submit the cases to respective branches as per service area and bulk sponsorship should be avoided.
Further, the District Development commissioner directed all the financial institutions and government departments to implement this in true letter and spirit and ensure 100% achievements so that our collective efforts help us to come up to the expectations of the masses.
The meeting was attended by lead District Manager Sukhbir Singh, DDM NABARD, Kanav Sharma, cluster head, J&K Bank, Sanjeev Kumar Dutta, Gen. Manager DIC, Dr. Zakir Hussain, DJKBRESTI, Rakesh Sudan,(FLCC), District Coordinates of all banks and district officers of sponsoring department including ALC/ DD employment, Abid Hussain Shah, District Horticulture officer, Agriculture officer, and others. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks from LDM.
