Pension week/ Pension saptah kick-starts at Kulgam

Kulgam  : As part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahaotsav’campaign, Pension Week/ Pension Sapta has been kick-started in Kulgam district.
On the first day of the Pension week, the Department of Labour Kulgam today organized awareness cum registration camp regarding Pension schemes that are in vogue for unorganised workers viz PMSYM and PMLVMY at Mini Secretariat, here.
The officals from Assistant Labour Commissioner Office Kulgam sensitised the target audience regarding the benefits that can be availed by registering themselves under these schemes.
Throughout the day participants were sensitized about eligibility criteria, registration process and workers contribution by officers and officials of the department to get enrolled under PMSYM and PMLVMY.
Moreover, posters, pamphlets carrying information regarding these schemes were also distributed.
The department of Labour also made announcements through mobile vans in various parts of district for wide publicity so that eligible beneficiaries can get enrolled under these schemes.
The Assistant Labour Commissioner Kulgam, Dr.Adnan Tariq also informed that throughout the day a good number of workers were also registered on registration counters and added that the programme shall continue throughout the week in various parts and areas of the district.
