Doda : A meeting of the District Level Implementation Committee on Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana(PM-SYM) was on Monday held under the Chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma.
The DDC reviewed the achievements under the pension scheme of the Ministry of Labour & Employment, GOI meant for the worker’s welfare and old age protection of unorganised workers under PM-SYM.
During the meeting, it was informed by the ALC that 77.08 percent targets have been achieved till date and the officers of line departments have been asked to enroll all the left out workers during the pension week being observed from 7th of March to13th of March.
Moreover, the DC directed the ALC to submit the details of active and inactive cases. He further asked for taking measures to rope in the inactive beneficiaries.
It is pertinent to mention here that PM-SYM, a national pension scheme, is a voluntary & contributory scheme for the workers of 18-40 years age group with monthly income of Rs.15000. A registered worker will be entitled to Rs.3000 per month pension after sixty years of age.
