DDC Rajouri reviews registration of unorganized workers on e-shram portal

Rajouri  : District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal Saturday chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to review the progress made under the registration of unorganised workers on the E Shram portal.
Speaking in the meeting, the DDC said that e-Shram registration will help to maintain a database of the unorganised workers which will be helpful in extending the benefit of social security schemes meant for them.
While reviewing the registration status, the DDC stressed on the need to expedite the process to enable unorganized workers to reap the benefits of several schemes.
The DDC also asked the concerned officers to mobilize field functionaries to speed up the process of registration and ensure full coverage within the stipulated time frame.
Meanwhile, the DDC also discussed the modalities for the effective implementation of the National pension scheme under Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana which is a Govt scheme meant for old age protection and social security of unorganized workers.
He set a target of covering 10000 beneficiaries under this pension scheme.
The DDC also directed the ALC to organise camps at different places for spreading awareness among the public and a doubt clearing session for ASHA workers in the coming week.
