Reasi :Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Babila Rakwal Wednesday conducted an extensive tour of the Dera Baba Banda Singh Bahadur where she chaired a public grievances redress camp and listened to the public issues.
The camp was attended by DDC member Katra Neelam Kumari; DDC member Reasi Jag Jeevan Lal; DFO Jyotsana; POICDs Renu Kumari; ACD Anirudh Rai; CMO Dr Rajeev Sharma; CHO Brij Vallabh Gupta; CAO Sudhir Singh; Legal Metrology Officer Pushkar; CEO Mohammad Aziz; Tehsildar Reasi Munshi Ram, Executive Engineers of JPDCL, Jal Shakti, PWD Janak Raj, PMGSY besides district officers of concerned departments.
At the outset, the DC interacted with the PRIs and locals and listened to their grievances.
The PRIs, Public put forth their demands seeking better road connectivity, Health facilities, Up-gradation of Jal Shakti and power infrastructure, notification of Minor mineral Rates, start of SRTC services, provision of 15 Bedded Hospital, rationalization of medical staff, shortage of school staff, implementation of Ladli Beti Scheme, development of water bodies and other issues of public welfare.
The DC issued on the spot directions to the concerned departments for timely redress of the projected issues. He assured the PRIs, Public that all the genuine demands would be met on priority.
On this occasion, Babila Rakwal reviewed the progress of work on road related works which included upgradation/repair and directed the concerned authorities for timely completion of the same.
Responding to the water related issues, the DC directed the concerned XENs for timely completion of the JJM schemes including timely completion of Pangandevta lift irrigation Project so that the public could be benefitted. The Rural Development Department was asked to focus on development of water bodies with active participation of PRIs.
Responding to the electricity related issues, the DC directed the concerned authorities to ensure timely completion of the local grid station.
