Doda :Weekly block divas program was held Wednesday across the district to make the governance accessible to the people and time bound redress of the public issues, besides spreading awareness about welfare and other schemes.
The program was held under the supervision of District Development Commissioner Vikas Sharma.
At Bhaderwah, the program was held in block office where Block Development Council Chairman, Omi Chand and ADC Bhaderwah Chowdhary Dil Mir listened to the public issues.
The ADC took a review of previous Block divas programs and appreciated the efforts of the line departments for resolving the issues of the locals. The government officers provided various services and listened to the grievances and demands of people. Many issues were resolved on the spot by officers of respective departments. Local participants projected various demands for which the ADC assured time bound redress.
The Block divas meeting were also held at all designated places. As many as 72 grievances/applications were received, out of which 70 were redressed by the officers/officials of respective departments on the spot. The authorities also issued 5 category certificates, 47 Domicile certificates, 30 revenue papers, 13 birth certificates, while 8 beneficiaries were registered under Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY SEHAT scheme.
