Srinagar/Feb, 27 : Chairman, Employees Joint Consultative Committee (EJCC) Kashmir and President CAPD Employees Association Kashmir Aijaz Ahmad Khan has welcomed the decision of Lieutenant Governor led Government of Jammu and Kashmir for approving the Recruitment Rules for timely regularization of casual and seasonal labourers working in the Department of PDD for a very long time .
Khan the EJCC Chairman said that with the approval of these rules, the main demand of the Power Development Department employees stands fulfilled and will effect positively regularization/ future progression of around 12000 employees which is an appreciable move. Khan while hailing the Govt. decision also said that this decision of the Government is certainly a ray of hope for almost 61000 other Casual and Seasonal labourers who are also tirelessly working in various Departments of Jammu and Kashmir with the hope that their services will also be regularised and they will be adopted as Regular employees in the said Departments Khan while slamming earlier Governments of erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir for failing to regularize the services of these causal and seasonal labourers who’s future is at stake and their families continue to suffer due to non- regularisation of their services depsite lapse of many decades said that due to biased attitude of previous Governments, the daily wagers of Jammu and Kashmir are still deprived of regularization, adding that “Due to delay in regularization, most daily wagers are compelled to do some menial works to make ends meet.”.
Khan thanked Lieutenant Governor of J&K and hoped that UJ&K Administration controlled from Delhi is the only ray of hope left for the left out Daly wagers, seasonal labourers working in Different Departments of J&K in general and Fair Price Shop Dealers working in Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department Kashmir in particular , who have been waiting for their regularisation of services and their subsequent absorption in the said Departments, in the service for which they have devoted their lives.
khan hoped that LG led Administration will also take care of the future and sentiments of these left out Daly wagers, seasonal labourers and Fair Price Shop Dealers working in the Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department Kashmir and will take appropriate necessary measures to ensure that the services of these workers are also regularised.
