MSK Reasi hosts awareness programon women centric schemes at GMS KotliManotrian

Reasi : District Level Centre for women (DLCW)Reasi in collaboration with ChildlineReasi on Saturday organised a day long awareness programme on women centric schemes here at Government Middle School KotliManotrian.
The programme was attended by Staff members of School, DLCW Staff Reasi, Staff members of ChildlineReasi and Students. Women Welfare Officer Monika Sharma and District Coordinator DLCW Reasi, Surchika Sharma, imparted awareness regarding.
Women centric Schemes and programs of the Government like Pension Schemes for Old age, widow and physically challenged persons, pre Matric and Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for Students, PMVVY, One Stop Centre, Women Helpline 181, Childline 1098, SukanyaSamridhiYojana, Employment Generation schemes:- Tejaswini, PMEGP, Mumkin, Women Development Corporation loan schemes including NMDFC, NBCFDC, NHFDC and WEP.
The Students were made aware regarding their constitutional rights and powers. While laying stress on women empowerment, the speakers asked the gathering to respect the women so that Girl child can fly free to live her life.
Participants were also briefed about the Violence and the types of Violence faced by the Women in general. They were made aware regarding prevention and elimination of violence against them.
The DLCW Staff encouraged the women to come forward and Break their Silence & Raise voice against the evils of the society. “Womenfacing any kind of Violence whether Physical, Sexual, Emotional, Economic and Dowry related harassment should Dial Toll Free no. 181 to get Access to Justice, Access to Welfare and Access to District administration” they were told.
