Srinagar: The Enforcement Wing of J&K Lake Conservation & Management Authority Friday launched a demolition drive in the area of BreinNishat, Manzgam Pahloo and Karpora laam.
During the drive, one 2nd storey house, roofing, block for plinth, one room/shed and block for garage were demolished. The demolition squad was accompanied by a police contingent from PCR Srinagar and territorial police.
The general public living in LCMA jurisdiction has been informed that strict action shall be taken against those found indulging in any sort of illegal constructions/encroachments.
It was also impressed that no construction activity within 200 meters from the lake and the other restrictions imposed under Master Plan should come up and the violators shall be dealt with strictly under the law.
