Bandipora : Police in Bandipora organized Spring Sports Festival under the theme “Say Yes to Sports, No to Drugs” which was inaugurated by DIG NKR Baramulla Shri UdayaBhaskarBilla-IPS at Sumbal. Besides, SSP Bandipora MohmmadZahid was also present on the occasion.The tournament will host 10 volleyball teams from subdivision Sumbal.
In a statement issued on Monday police said that in the inaugural address, DIG NKR applauded the initiative of Bandipora police for organizing sports festival for the youth of the district with the objective of providing them a platform, so that they can exhibit their talent and hone their skills. He also emphasized upon the participants to stay away from drug addiction and other social crimes. He called upon the local youths, sports staff and general public of district Bandipora in particular to make this festival a grand success, so that this festival will act as a ray of hope and peace for the entire J&K.
SSP Bandipora while speaking on the occasion highlighted the initiatives taken by Bandipora police for the benefit of general public be it organizing PCPG meetings or youth oriented events. SSP Bandipora thanked the DIG for gracing the opening ceremony and encouraging the youth of the district. The inaugural event was witnessed by a large gathering/sports lovers.
