Vigilance Awareness Fortnight: DDC Chairman visits Dochnipora block of Anantnag

Anantnag  : The District Development Council (DDC) Chairman, Anantnag, M Yousuf Gorsi Saturday visited the Dochnipora block to get the first hand information of the ongoing vigilance awareness fortnight programmes in the concerned block.
The concerned officers’ viz. ACP Anantnag, AD food deliberated on different aspects of the programme like exclusion of non deserving households from the list of PHH BPL etc and inclusion of deserving beneficiaries. Timely availability of ration at food stores, easy access to food stores, clean supply of food grains etc were the main points of discussion.
People apprised the chairman about the problems that the block is facing and the chairman assured that all these issues will be taken up with the concerned departments including Hospital for Nowshara, transformers and fencing of water supply tank.
Gorsi while speaking on the occasion said that the mass participation of the people will help to implement the NFSA in its true spirit.
Praising the work of the food department after getting the good feedback from the local people and PRIs, Gorsi said that the government is committed to bring facilities at the doorsteps of the people and added that people should come forward to get the benefits of the government schemes and in ward sabhas, gram sabhas for framing the justified work plan for the area.
Later, Gorsi paid homage at Khiram dargah and interacted with people to bring their demands in front of the Chairman which were assured to be prioritised in near future.
The chairman was accompanied by DDC member Dochnipora, ACP, BDC chairman Dochnipora, sarpanchs, panches and the concerned officials of the Food department and various other officials of line departments besides the large populace of the area.
