CEO Udhampur reviews activities hosted by schools as prescribed in DSEJ Calendars

Udhampur  : Chief Education officer Udhampur, Arvin Koul Saturday convened a virtual meeting of the Heads of Institutions of the district to take stock of the activities being held in the Schools of the district as prescribed under the monthly and annual calendar of Directorate of School Education Jammu.
The meeting was also attended by Yasser Rasool Mir, Head, Media and Community Outreach Cell, Directorate of school education Jammu and Sushma Gupta senior most HoD and In -charge Principal DIET Udhampur.
In his address, the Chief Education officer stressed to speed up the activities prescribed in the annual/monthly calendar of various cells of the Directorate of School Education, Jammu so that students at large are benefited.
While appreciating the HOIs, the CEO Udhampur impressed upon the need for immediate establishment of District ‘Media and Community Outreach Cell’ Udhampur so that the activities and achievements of students, teachers and HOIs are properly projected and highlighted in the social and main stream media.
The CEO Udhampur reviewed the ongoing training programs also including “Talaash,” SEF” besides the position of MDM and scholarship schemes for students in the district .
Yasser Rasool Mir, Head, Media and Community Outreach Cell, Directorate of School Education, Jammu also interacted with the participants and deliberated on the utility of different media platforms in promoting the activities, initiatives, schemes and projects of School Education Department amongst students, their parents and general public so that the stakeholders can avail the opportunities being provided and derive maximum benefit out of such opportunities.
Farooq Shan, Sr. Lecturer DIET Udhampur and District Coordinator Media Outreach Cell, also provided useful insight on betterment of working and productive output of the Media Cell in district Udhampur.
Prakriti, from the CEO office Udhampur carried out the proceedings of the virtual meeting.
Meanwhile, the CEO Udhampur, visited Zonal Education Office Tikri and the adjoining schools to take note of the day to day working of these institutions.
The Chief Education Officer interacted with the staff members and inquired about various aspects of working of the office.
Expressing satisfaction over the functioning of the office, the CEO asked the staff members to work with zeal and dedication so that the loss incurred due to Covid-19 pandemic could be mitigated.
Among other schools, the Chief Education Officer paid a surprise visit to Government Middle school Tikri (Girls) and Govt. Higher Secondary school Tikri where all the staff members were present.
