Ramban : The District Rent Assessment Committee (DRAC) Saturday approved 49 rent assessment cases of different departments here at a meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam.
The meeting was attended by the Additional District Development Commissioner, Rajinder Sharma; ACR, Dherindra Sharma, Addl. SP Rajni Sharma, district officers of various departments and officers from Army besides owners of houses.
The rent cases pertaining to Police, Army, CRPF, SSB, ICDS, Revenue, Education, Agriculture, ISM and other departments were approved by the Committee.
The Committee discussed the fixation of rent of various structures in which various government offices are functioning across the district.
As many as 56 rent assessment cases were put up for discussion out of which 49 cases were approved by the committee in the presence of house owners and respective departmental representatives whereas 7 cases of different departments were deferred for the next meeting.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the officers to pay rent to the concerned owners of land and structures on time and ensure safety of the Government and rented property.
