Shopian : The Revenue Authorities headed by Tehsildar Keegam along with a team of Police and Irrigation Department Saturday conducted an anti-encroachment cum eviction drive at villages Nazneenpora, Checki Hakeem and Marheng of Tehsil Keegam of district Shopian.
During the drive, the officials removed illegal encroachments upon the banks of Marheng irrigation Khul.
Meanwhile, the Revenue Authorities of Tehsil Keegam also warned the encroachers to remain cautious in future and not to cause any encroachment on the banks of the said Khul.
Furthermore, the Tehsil administration has appealed the general public to cooperate with the revenue authorities as the drive is purely meant for welfare of the general public and safeguarding public resources.
