DC Shopian extensively tours various Areas

Shopian : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya Wednesday took an extensive tour of various villages of the district including Berthipora, Keegam, Chodrigund, Woothu and other areas of the district.
The DC inspected PHC, Berthipora, Receiving Station, Gagron and impressed upon the concerned to work with dedication and great zeal and leave no stone unturned in providing better facilities to the people of the area.
During the visit, the DC said that the aim and objective of this visit is to have an on spot assessment, besides to have first hand appraisal of the ground situation of these areas relating to availability of basic amenities, essentials and also to listen to the demands, issue and grievances that the inhabitants of these areas are presently facing.
The DC enroute interacted with the general masses of these areas relating to availability of basic amenities, listened them patiently and assured that all their genuine issues would be addressed in a time bound manner within a shortest possible time.
The locals and some deputations from adjacent areas apprised the DM about various issues particularly relating to improvement of roads, improvement in water supply, upgradation of health services, schools and repair of internal roads.
Responding to the issues and demands that the people of these villages raised, they once again reiterated that the District Administration is committed that such initiatives shall prove result oriented and fruitful for the common people.
The DC said that his top most priority shall be to address all the issues that are within his domain without wasting any time.
He also assured the public that they themselves can feel the difference and witness ground results very soon. He also added that the works under execution shall be completed well in time.
The DC during the visit also took a detailed inspection of PHC, Berthipora where he took stock of the facilities and services being provided to the patients, besides he also conducted an administrative checkup of the PHC to know about the requirements.
During the visit, the DC was accompanied by ADC Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani, concerned district and sectoral officers.
