DDC Kishtwar presides over Weekly block Diwas at Nagseni, Resolves grievances of people on spot

Local PRIs apprised about the component wise allotments under ADP for villages around Keru HEPP

Kishtwar  : District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Ashok Kumar Sharma Wednesday presided over the weekly block divas here at the block headquarter Nagseni. He listened to the grievances of people and enlightened the local PRIs about the allotments under various components of the Area Development Plan for villages around Keru Hydro Electric Power Project.
Chairperson Block Development Council Nagseni Mohammad Ashraf Choudhary; DDC councilor Nagseni, Faisal Hussain Choudhary; ACD Atul Dutt Sharma; DPO r Sunil Bhutyal; DSWO Tariq Parveaz Qazi besides district officers were present on the occasion.
During the programme, the PRIs demanded up-gradation and Macadamisation of roads, restoration of damaged water supply lines, electrification of habitation in the adjoining Panchayats, repair of School building, inclusion of beneficiaries in Awas Plus, etc.
They also sought inclusion of left out beneficiaries under RR plan of Keru HEPP, sanitation work in Keru market, ATM at Padhyarna, provision of internet facility to enable the locals to avail online revenue services, compensation of fruit bearing and non fruit bearing plants, Black-Topping of upper-Dool road.
After giving a patient hearing, the DDC redressed many grievances on the spot and documented the rest of the demands for forwarding to the concerned quarters for immediate redressal.
He passed a slew of directions to the Tehsildar and BDO Nagseni and asked them to take periodical review of the grievances raised by the public for effective and accountable monitoring of the deliverance system.
On the issue of the Employment in Hydro Electric projects of Kwar and Keru, he assured that locals/youth will be absorbed on priority basis as per their skill and qualification.
He informed that district administration was soon going to conduct a skill enhancement programme to increase employability of youth in the district.
He also apprised the locals and the PRIs about the component wise works to be taken in the project affected area and for the project affected families.
Responding to the demand for up-gradation of PHC Keru building, the DDC Kishtwar assured that the work of 2nd storey will be started on priority to augment the infrastructure of the health institution.
During the outreach programme, he also exhorted upon the officers and the field functionaries of the departments to deliver services with utmost dedication so that the delivery mechanism is run in a hassle free manner.
Besides, the BDO Nagseni was directed to ensure the presence of the block level officers in the Block Development Council meeting.
Meanwhile, Tehsildar Kishtwar was directed to conduct regular inspection of the PHC Keru to monitor the functioning of the PHC which is the life line of the area.
