Srinagar :The aspirants who have applied for the post of assistant registrar/ assistant controller examination in University of Kashmir have appealed to authorities to conduct their main examination at an earliest.
Aspirants while voicing their concern over the delay in the conduct of the said examination said that the university advertised seven positions of assistant registrar/assistant controller of examination on October 24, 2019 and after around two years a notification was issued on 13-08-2021 informing about conducting of preliminary examination.
They said that the preliminary examination was conducted in the last week of October 2021 and in the first week of December a provisional merit list was published.
They said that soon after the merit list was issued, the main examination was scheduled to be held on 6 January this year but it was later postponed due to the inclement weather.
They further added that as per the varsity statutes, the posts should have been filled within two years after advertisement but that didn’t happen.
They requested authorities to look into the matter and conduct a main examination at an earliest so that they can heave a sigh of relief.
Meanwhile an officer of the KU said that they have already issued a notification in which aspirants have been asked to remain in touch with authorities and their main examination will be held soon.
He said that due to Covid-19 the process got delayed but it will be completed now at an earliest
