Bandipora: H.K.M Government Degree College Bandipora Thursday organized the Annual Road Race early in the morning which started from Aaloosa bus stop and culminated at Putushy bus stop.
Principal of the college flagged-off the road race and about 30 students participated in it.
Rafiq Ahmad, student of UG 1st semester bagged the first position who completed the 5.5 kms race in 20 minutes. Similarly, Aadil Tariq of UG 4th semester and Tanvir Haji of UG 1st semester got the 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
Later, the position holders were awarded trophies and consolation prize was also given away to the 4th position holder while as the certificates were distributed among all the students who participated in the event.
Among others SSP Bandipora Sheikh Zulfiqar, ARTO Bandipora and the college management were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, the principal congratulated the students for taking part in the race. He said such programms will also be conducted in future.
