Police kick-starts one week workshop on ‘Investigation of NDPS Cases’ in Ganderbal

Ganderbal  : Police in Ganderbal have kick-started one week workshop for the investigating officers of NDPS cases. The workshop has been organized on the directions of SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar and shall be held at DPO Complex Ganderbal.
According to a police statement issued on Thursday said that the said workshop has been organized to acquaintance the investigating officers with latest techniques and standard practices to expedite the investigation of criminal cases.
On the occasion, ASP Ganderbal Feroz Yehya impressed upon the officers that progress of various heinous crime cases must be disposed-off properly and on timely basis. He also stressed upon them to adopt latest techniques and standard practices which would bring improvement in investigation of the cases. He directed the officers to conduct investigations efficiently so that culprits do not go Scott-free.
Besides, ASP Ganderbal, DySP Hqrs Ganderbal, Senior Prosecuting Officer DPO Ganderbal and other senior officers of District Police Ganderbal also participated in the workshop. While addressing the participants they stated that the investigation shall be carried out under the supervision of Gazetted Officers in order to improve the conviction rate and disposal of sensational crime cases.
Police organises Police-public interaction meetings in Pulwama

Pulwama | Feb, 3: As a part of public outreach programme and to strengthen Police-public relationship, Police facilitated a series of Police-public interaction meetings in Pulwama. These meetings were held while following social distancing norms and other Covid protocols.
The meetings were chaired by Dy SP Hqrs Pulwama Mohd Shafi at District Police Office Pulwama & Town Hall Pulwama and attended by Auqaf Committee members, Transporters & Street vendors of Town Pulwama. During the meetings, the participants raised several issues pertaining to Police and civil authorities. The chairing officer assured them that their genuine grievances pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority while as the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with concerned authorities for their early redressal. The participants were requested abide by the traffic rules and regulations & cooperate with Police for hassle free movement of traffic & general public. They were also requested not to block main road especially Rajpora Chowk to Hospital which is most essential for Ambulances carrying patients. The participants in these meetings assured their full co-operation to Police in tackling social issues and also appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating such community interaction meets where participants express their opinions freely.
